Pre-Visit Screening Criteria:

  • No COVID-19 symptoms in the past 5 days
  • Special permission and high quality mask required if you have had symptoms or exposure in the past 10 days

Vaccination status, travel, large gatherings, etc no longer restrict you from coming to the office but please follow CDC recommendations https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/if-you-were-exposed.html

*Masks are still required in the office for everyone over 2 years of age.

Other recent updates:

  • $5/visit price increase, effective January 01, 2023. For those of you that are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford this visit cost, whether temporarily or long term, please reach out to Dr Olie directly to discuss modified costs. If you feel moved to do so and are financially able, direct support for Lucid Chiropractic Clinic can be made at ko-fi.com/lucidchiropractic.

  • As of February 2021, Lucid has changed to a new EHR system. COVID-19 screening is now done via an email survey within 24 hours of an appointment. You can opt out of some notifications from the new system, but remember the door code will come to you via these appointment reminders. Existing patients will need to fill out a Re-Intake form (sent to your email).

  • As always, appointments can only be scheduled online with at least 24 hours notice. Lucid Chiropractic Clinic cannot accommodate same day appointments for new patients, however, established patients may text the office to request an available same-day appointment.

  • REMINDER - there is a $20 cancellation fee for no shows and visits cancelled or changed within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment time. Reach out if you have questions or an emergency exception.

  • Office dog update: we have a new dog on staff! Please text the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Doctors of Chiropractic are trained in the workings of the body and the use of physical interventions to coax a patient's body back towards health, function, and ease. At Lucid Chiropractic Clinic, chiropractic care is gentle and specific. Each patient visit begins with an assessment to determine whether chiropractic subluxations are present at that time. If subluxations are found, the visit proceeds with chiropractic adjustments as clinically indicated. After any adjustment, each patient is always re-assessed to determine that a beneficial change has occurred, and depending on the type of adjustment, patients may rest in the office after their adjustment.

Dr Olie (sounds like “holy” not “holly”) has been practicing salutogenic chiropractic in Pittsburgh since 2015. Olie’s approach to chiropractic care is patient-centered and combines tonal techniques to put special focus on the upper cervical region before exploring chiropractic issues in the rest of the body. Beginning in chiropractic school, Olie has specialized in gentle adjusting, including by-hand upper cervical techniques, extremity, and full spine adjusting, all with the goal of helping to restore balance and communication to patients’ bodies. Olie’s philosophy about the body is such that humans are amazing, with astounding capacities for healing and responding to the stresses of life.

Though it is sometimes hard to show it in the office, Olie values people and community, including supporting small and local businesses, racial equity, social justice, and environmental consciousness. Through chiropractic, Olie hopes to reinforce the beliefs that kindness matters, and that small things add up.

Outside of the office, Olie prefers to be outdoors, most happily in the company of the people (and dog) she loves.
